Recheck Crown Requests and Date Photos

The Crown Requests letter now describes the new unlock conditions correctly. If the old letter left you unsure about when Crown Requests become available, use the updated wording in the current build rather than the launch text.

NPCs are also visible in every Date Photo again regardless of the current season. This is a visual recovery fix: update before treating a missing person in a saved Date Photo as an intended seasonal variation.

Expect the corrected crafting and localization behavior

The Mines Crate Chair preview in the woodcrafting menu now displays as intended. The change concerns the menu preview, not a new crafting recipe or a change to the chair's requirements.

A specific Russian dialogue string no longer causes a crash. The official notes describe this as a targeted localization fix, so the page does not generalize it into a broader language overhaul.

Know which save and interface crashes were addressed

Loading a Friday save affected by a schedule bug should no longer crash. The patch also fixes crashes when viewing the Mistmare in the Ranching interface under the listed no-animal or Horse Statue perk conditions, and when opening the Town Rank Guide after picking up an item in the Journal interface.

Players using mods also receive a safer fallback for invalid wallpaper decor: the game shows an alternate sprite instead of crashing. This does not promise compatibility with every mod; it records the specific behavior named in the official notes.

Mines, festival, and monster crashes receive fixes

The official list includes fixes for entering an Arena Room from Treasure or Ritual Chamber rooms, skipping the Breaking the Fire Seal cutscene, inviting the secret bachelor to the Harvest Festival from the Deep Woods, killing a Rock Stack, and a defeated-monster crash.

A rare town-shadow crash is also addressed. Update first when one of these exact situations matches your save, then retry the task through the current guide path.

Continue from the current update hub

Patch 1.0.1 is a focused stability release rather than a new content update. Open the Updates hub for the 1.0.x order, then use the next patch summary if your issue involves hairstyles, performance overlays, localization additions, the Shooting Star Festival, or Time Flies.

The official announcement remains the source for the full itemized list. This guide highlights the changes most useful for identifying an affected task without reproducing the release notes in full.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does Patch 1.0.1 restore NPCs in Date Photos?

Was the Crown Requests unlock itself changed?

The official 1.0.1 note says the letter text was updated to reflect the new unlock conditions; it does not describe another unlock change in this patch.

Does the patch fix every mod-related crash?

No. It specifically adds an alternate sprite for invalid wallpaper decor from mods instead of crashing.
